About Us

Whillo was launched in June of 2022 to provide quality audio content for Christian families. Our mission is to build a collection of top-notch, wholesome audio that can be listened to by conservative Christian families all around the globe.

Although the founders are of a Reformed background, we strive to provide content that Christian families of all walks of life can enjoy: audiobooks and music with good values, timeless lessons and stories, family values, and/or based on the Bible.

We sincerely hope you enjoy Whillo as much as we do. If you have any feedback please don’t hesitate to reach out to us; we’d love to have your input!

The van Rhijn Family

Whillo Founders

Layne and Melinda van Rhijn were both born and raised in southern Alberta, where they continue to live and raise their three children.

Layne oversees the technical operations of Whillo, including website and app development, licensing, and infrastructure. Melinda manages narrator auditions and customer support, playing a key role in maintaining quality and ensuring a smooth user experience.

Their children—who were a major inspiration behind the creation of Whillo—often help preview new audiobooks and have become enthusiastic early testers of new content.

We always welcome feedback about the Whillo platform or suggestions for future audiobooks. Feel free to reach out—we’d love to hear from you.
